THU 19 SEP: UK & IRELAND REGIONAL FORECAST

Written by on September 19, 2013 in United Kingdom & Ireland with 0 Comments

Scotland

It’s a damp end to the day for some while others enjoy late day bright or sunny spells. Through this evening and overnight, patchy cloud will linger but where clear pockets develop, it will turn chilly once again with low single figures in some sheltered rural parts. Overall a fairly quiet night to come. Lows widely 6-10C.

Friday looks largely cloudy with some light showers peppering the North, elsewhere it’s mainly dry with a slight risk of light rain or drizzle, mainly confined to the hills. Highs 13-15C.

Staying mainly dry Saturday and it will feel warmer.

England

It’s a decent end to what has been a rather damp and at times blustery day as a front worked west to east across the country. The overnight will see a mix of cloud and clear spells but all in all it’s a dry night to come with perhaps just some light rain lingering along the Kent coast. Showers currently over the North should ease this evening. Lows 7-11C.

Friday looks largely quiet and quite cloudy with just some pockets of bright or sunny spells appearing through the morning and into the afternoon. It remains cool for the time of year at 14-17C.

Much the same Saturday with a mix of sun and cloud, a touch warmer.

Wales

It’s a much better second half to the day compared to the first with rain now well to the east with bright or sunny spells now in place for many. The breeze remains fresh and strong along the coast but all in all it’s not a bad end to the day. Through the overnight and it’s dry with a lot of cloud around, perhaps producing light and patchy drizzle especially over hills. Lows 7-12C.

Friday is looking like a decent day albeit cloudy but that cloudy should think and break through the afternoon allowing some spells of sunshine to break through. Highs 14-17C.

Plenty of cloudy but feeling warmer Saturday.

Northern Ireland

After a wet overnight, today has been an improving picture with mainly dry conditions through this afternoon with even sunshine appearing over central and southern parts this evening. Tonight will remain mainly cloudy, breeze but dry, overnight lows 8-10C.

Friday is looking better with more in the way of sunshine and slightly warmer temps, up to between 15-17C.

Dry, cloudy and a touch warmer Saturday.

Ireland

After last night’s rains, it’s been a drier but rather cloudy day across the Republic and that theme looks to continue not just through tonight but over the next couple of days. Tonight will be cloudy but dry with lows of 8-11C.

Friday, much the same with a lot of cloud around and highs will rise to between 14-16C.

A near repeat Saturday but rain may try to spread in from the Atlantic. Highs a touch up on tomorrow.
