Why was #StormCorrie so unusual?
This weekend it’s a split between polar-maritime and subtropical maritime air with heavy snow showers piling into the Highlands aboard a strong to gale force NW wind.

These frequent, blustery snow showers have caused poor driving conditions on high level road routes with several centimetres accumulating to less than 800 feet asl, double that above 2,000ft.

Warm front arrives tomorrow attached to 924mb beast centred between Iceland and Greenland.
Temps should rebound back to between 9-12C UK-wide Monday afternoon within the warm sector.
Colder mid/late week with Northerly blast?
Behind the cold front, another polar-maritime looks to push east and eventually south over the UK Tuesday-Wednesday on with possibly a northerly to end the workweek.
