GFS refuses to give up on a ‘white Christmas’ for parts of Scotland

We know a wet and windy system shall sweep across the UK late Christmas Eve/Day but the big question remains, will there be a white Christmas? At this moment in time, we do know SOME PLACES, particularly higher up, have a good shot but how much area and to how low in elevation do we see it snow?

It’s safe to say the first half of Christmas the precip is liquid but once the centre moves into the North Sea that’s when it should get interesting.

The latest GFS sees snow over the Perthshire Hills, Pentlands, Southern Uplands and even through the M8 corridor!
