The Atlantic is alive and kicking with the help of warmer-than-normal SSTA’s as a favorable MJO phase promoting a large area of rising air.
CFSv2 weeklies also indicate that conditions are ripe for an active Africa-Atlantic through at least the first week of September. pic.twitter.com/7HUfxsN7DT

Tropical Storm Harvey is slowly organizing as he crosses the Leeward Islands today and heads in the direction of Mexico’s Yucatan, Belize and Nicaragua early next week. We also have 92L and another feature behind worth watching as well as plenty more action coming off Africa.
Current visible loop
As for shear, looks like Harvey is in a decent place for gradual strengthening but 92L has some fighting to do.
Current Harvey status
Expect 8-13ft seas ahead of Harvey and west of the Leewards.
Harvey is already doing a job on Barbados today.
Some intense #Harvey flooding- impressive! https://t.co/29rluSn8sV
