Franklin could become Atlantic’s 1st hurricane of the season prior to Yucatan landfall tonight

Tropical Storm Franklin is set to make landfall overnight tonight on the southern end of Mexico’s Yucatan. Currently winds sustained at 60 mph but this system could approach hurricane status prior to landfall and if so would be the 2017 season’s first for the Atlantic.
