Unusually cold trough feeds early Rockies snowstorm, Summer hangs on in East

We’re opening October 2017 on an extreme note with a heavy early season snowstorm for Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado while summer is making a comeback further east.

The depth of trough and cold within sure is impressive for this time of year and so snow totals will likely reach 2-3 FEET.
