We’re opening October 2017 on an extreme note with a heavy early season snowstorm for Montana, Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado while summer is making a comeback further east.
An impressive thermal gradient with 20-25 below to the west and 20-25 above to the east…
The depth of trough and cold within sure is impressive for this time of year and so snow totals will likely reach 2-3 FEET.

Cold follows the snow
Once the snow clears out and the stars come out, we could see some high snowy plateaus dip close to zero degrees in the coming nights.
