US Outlook: Potential Increasing For Major End Of March Arctic Blast!

Written by on March 18, 2014 in United States of America with 0 Comments

This March, never mind past winter, is turning out to be incredible when it comes to snow and cold. I keep asking myself, when will the snap occur, especially when it comes to the extreme.

The Mid-Atlantic snowstorm turned out historic for areas such as the Washington area where a uniform 5-10 inches fell. Nearly unprecedented for this late on as it’s very tough to get accumulating snow given that there has usually been warm air around by now, which there has been, plus the sun angle is rather high which means solar energy often warms the ground faster than the snow has time to stick.

Of course this winter has not been ‘normal’ and we may find that yet more crazy cold is on the way, despite nearly the end of MARCH!

Here’s the snow which fell over the last 24 hours.
