FACINATING TEMPERATURE SPREAD ACROSS MONTANA ALONE YESTERDAY! WARMTH HEADING EAST

Whilst it only “warmed” to 14 degrees at Cut Bank in northwest Montana yesterday, yep, it got to 60 degrees in Billings! Quite amazing. What is more amazing is that lows dropped off as low as -15 degrees this morning up in Cut Bank and highs today are likely to struggle out of sub-zero territory as the temperature remains at -3 and it’s now enetering the PM hours.

Yesterday’s High’s

There was amazing warmth had over Wyoming, Colorado and other areas of the Rockies and western plains, thanks to a Pacific airflow that crossed and downsloped the Rockies, yes, even when brutal Arctic air kept things freezer-like over the northwest corner on Montana.

This morning’s low’s

This western Plains and Rockies warmth will progress eastwards allowing Chicago, Il to warm perhaps to 60 degrees in the coming days. Stark contrast to highs in the 30s yesterday. Unfortunately, for those that have the chill over the Lower Midwest and will recieve a moderated version of the Rockies and western high plains warmth now in the next few days, the batch of serious Arctic cold now descending upon Montana and will continue to deepen and broaden it’s reach over the next few days, will push east in behind the warmth.
