northeast
A very comfortable, plesant day throughout the Northeast with the rain gone and warmer temps than yesterday mere 50s for Boston and New England. Highs today should top the low 80s for DC and Baltimore, low 70s for NYC, perhaps 71-72 degrees and upper 70s for central PA and around 72-74 degrees from Buffalo, Syracuse to Rochester, NY, though Boston may only top the upper 60s, this should feel warmer than yesterday’s 57 as sun will shine instead of cloud and rain, the warmth will continue to build out of the south over the next 48-72 hours.
southeast & florida
HOT, HOT, HOT is the name of the game across the southeast today as high pressure dominates with blistering, sinking air which will decrease thunderstorm production and therefore little relief from the heat and humidity. With strong surface warming, isolated thunderstorms as always can be ruled out….. This pattern is to grow stronger over the next few days with an increase in temperature by day throughout the region. Today Atlanta should see 90-92 degrees with possible spotty storms, low around 72, New Orleans 92-94 with less storm chances, low around 80. For Florida, afternoon storms likely for most spots, temps range from low 90s in Miami to mid 90s in central region, possibly upper 90s for north. northern plains
Yet anouther unsettled day across the Northern Plains with patchy showers and storms, higha rnaging from mere low 60s across northern ND and MN to around 73-73 for eastern South Dakota, south, central Minnesota and southern Wisconsin. Chicago may see mif to upper 80s, with 80s found throughout the mid-Mississippi valley and Ohio valleys with a medium chance of afternoon storms.
southern plains
A day dominated by drier, sunnier weather, though breezier and hotter with temps ranging from low to mid-90s from Houston to Dallas. Western Texas should see higher temps but lower humidity.. Possibly 98 in Lubbock to low 100s for the deserts.
southwest
Still sunny from Death Valley to Pheonix but much, much cooler. Highs range from 95 in Phoenix to 86 in Vegas, possibly only mid-90s for Death Valley. Further north to Salt Lake and rain and cloud is the main story with highs only in the upper 50s to around 60! Crazy stuff for June 11.
northwest
A modest day tempweraturewise with in terms if dreary weather, well it looks and perhaps even feels like autumn or winter.
