For the Central Lowlands and Borders it’s clear but cold.
NNW winds typically don’t bring much if any snow through the M8 Glasgow to Edinburgh corridor due to shelter from the mountains.

Not warm at all out there for early afternoon. Especially when exposed to the wind.
It remains cold throughout the weekend but by Sunday the next Atlantic low and associated fronts move in. With the cold air refusing to give way, heavy, potentially disruptice snow is likely across Northern Ireland, central England and north, central Wales.
An amber be prepared warning has been issued by the MO for this snow on Sunday.
Sunday morning looks coldest with least wind, cloud over the Scottish snowfields.
