Large-scale pattern continues to leave US coast vulnerable to tropics next 10 days

The GFS ensemble 500mb height anomaly 5 day increments continue to show a vulnerable US coastline with eastern Canada ridge which opens the door to tropical cyclone hits underneath.

We don’t just have Jose on the table which is likely to be mainly a strong Nor’easter for the Northeast with last minute weakening and recurve next week but the models take another deepening trouble maker through the northern Caribbean and nervously close to the Southeast US.
