There’s a lot of weather to speak of across the Lower 48 at this time. From a blizzard which shut down Denver International Airport to late spring 70s in Pennsylvania this afternoon to an ice storm just across the lake in Ontario. Thankfully the weather does turn somewhat less eventful as we head into the Easter weekend. In saying that, that doesn’t mean there’s no weather to speak of.
According to the latest run of the GFS model, two lows 1) over South Dakota and 2) on the SE Colorado border will present snowfall from the Pacific Northwest to Dakotas Good Friday while the big storm system exits NE of New England bringing snowfall to Quebec and the Maritimes and rain down the East Coast.

Saturday appears fairly quiet nationwide although convective showers and storms will form over N Florida and S Georgia while snow affects Colorado and Minnesota.

Easter Sunday sees a new system pushing into the Pacific Northwest while thunderstorms and downpours affect the Southeast. Overall Sunday appears relatively uneventful.

April To Open With Visit From Polar Vortex?
The above makes perfect sense given the recent split of the polar vortex.
This could be a piece broken off and forced south down the spine of North America.
