Highly Progression Pattern To Give Way To Spring Warmth/Ridging Day 7-10

It’s been rather stormy well to our south in recent days. Check out these incredible images of 7 metre waves battering the North Coast of Spain near Santander yesterday.

We have a very active, highly UP and DOWN temp regime through the next couple of days alone. Mild tonight as the warm front sweeps across southern Britain but this is quickly replaced by a cold front which pushes out the mild ‘Azores air’ early tomorrow. So, cool start today then mild tonight then back to cool through tomorrow with further snow for the hills of N England, Scotland and possibly Northern Ireland.

These lows are just lining up over the Atlantic like planes coming into Heathrow, ready to cross the UK. Each time a low approaches, so milder air get’s lifted north only to get replaced by colder, polar-maritime air 12-24 hours later. You can see that as low pressure affects the UK, so the next one can be seen waiting in the wings.

Yep, that spring-like high is still on the cards later next week and beyond!
