>Hi Everyone,

Karen and I are having a wonderful time on vacation here in New Jersey where the weather has been simply beautiful thanks to high pressure dominating the East. It has been a real fun past few days with Sunday spent visiting Cape May Zoo and the Lighthouse which is the state of New Jersey’s southern-most point. Cape May is around 2 to 2 hours 15 minutes due south along the Garden State Parkway. A great day out for all the family!

VISIT TO NEW YORK CITY

As for today (Tuesday), Karen and I took the 1 hr 10 min train ride into New York City from Middletown, NJ. Having arrived at Penn Station and taking a walk around Toys R Us in Times Square, we then headed for Grand Central Station, having never seen it before. We then made a point at stopping off at the brand new Weather Bell company. I was greatly impressed by their future ambition and potential in forecasting and what they have to offer both private and commercial sectors. Weather Bell have their newly appointed team which consists of Joe Bastardi and Joe D’Aleo whom I have the honor and priviledge of knowing personally. I believe with having two meteorologists as high profile and experienced as both Bastardi and D’Aleo and an intelligent team behind them, that Weather Bell will grow into a strong company and reach out to many millions of people in the not so distant future with ever advancing technology to tap into.

WHILST IT’S COLD, WET, SNOWY AND STORMY ACROSS IN UK, HERE IN THE AMERICAN EAST, TEMPERATURES ARE TO WARM INTO THE 70s FROM DC TO NYC BY FRIDAY

As for the weather, well back home in Scotland, it’s been cold, rainy, snowy and stormy, you name it, however here in the Northeast, high pressure has dominated the weather map after a strong storm system rolled through during our first 48 hours here in Jersey. In fact, the USA overall has seen a series of weather systems roll in off the Pacific and cross the Lower 48, each time a system pushes out eastward, high pressure brings calm, sunny and mild weather. Tonight will actually be system no. 3 to roll through the East and in the coming 48 to 72 hours temperatures will rise sharply through the upper 50s tomorrow, 60s Thursday and 70s on Friday. The I-95 corridor by Friday afternoon should enjoy sunshine, a southwest flow and highs reaching possibly the greatest levels of the year so far with potentially 72-74 in DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia to around 72 degrees in New York. Boston will likely enjoy around 65 degrees!

Will update again soon.

Take care and thanks for reading.
