The cold pools continues to drill ever colder air into the Plains, across the country and down the Florida Penn. Record lows are expected to continue for Florida and currently those numbers are dropping sharply across particularly north-central Florida. Windchills are as low as 17 and 18 degrees at Jacksonville and Tallahassee. Atlanta feels like 7 degrees and even New Orleans is shivering with 16-degree winbd chills at this hour.
Up across the Northeast it’s now into the teens with wind chills near zero in many places along the I-95 and will likely fall below zero by sunrise.
I shall discuss more about the US and global cold later on today…
Stay warm.
Thanks for reading.
