The wet weather spreading in during Thursday and particularly Friday will continue the wet theme into the weekend but good news to those living in southern/central England and Wales, high pressure builds in from the southwest Sunday and will push north up as far as Manchester before coming up against resistance. Unfortunately the ridging goes no further and the north of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland as well as Donegal look to see quite the moisture plume streaming in off the Atlantic Monday and Tuesday. The bad news for folks in south is this warmth and settled spell doesn;t last and the heavy rains spreading across the northern UK will sink south. So yes, the unsettled, soaking pattern will continue, there’s literally NO end in sight for certainly the remainder of July and I strongly believe now that July could well become the latest month to become record wettest for Britain.

As for points from Manchester southwards, we should see afternoon temps bump into at least the mid-20s if not upper 20s, especially down across London Monday and Tuesday afternoons.
