US Halloween 2015 Forecast

It’s looking like a soggy rather than spooky Halloween weekend for many between Appalachians and Rockies as well as over the drought stricken Pacific Northwest.

Here’s the QPF rainfall projection through the next 72 hours.

Flooding could be an issue from Texas and Louisiana up to the Great Lakes and from Washington and Oregon east into western Montana. Heaviest rains for Texas looks to be pushing east into Louisiana, Alabama and Georgia Halloween night.

Wind will also be an issue.

It’s a chilly open to Halloween for the Northeast with widespread frost and freeze  conditions likely away from urban areas.

Snow through the weekend looks to be largely confined to the high elevation of the West.

This is a good weekend for drought relief in Pacific Northwest but unfortunately with it being a second weekend in a row of flooding rains over Texas, despite the slight drought, this isn’t welcome nor is it for trick or treaters.

As for next week….
