FREE: UK & Europe Halloween Forecast 2015 (Includes Video)

Written by on October 30, 2015 in Autumn 2015, Rest of Europe, United Kingdom & Ireland with 0 Comments

For a second straight year, Halloween is hardly scary with another October 31st dominated by mild air and southerly winds. The majority of the UK will be dry and mild through Halloween afternoon and evening.

A front lifting north tonight into Halloween will bring spells of rain along with increased breeze but this very front will introduce the next batch of mild Mediterranean air through the second half of Halloween. Morning rain, mist, fog and low cloud should break up allowing for either cloud or a sun/cloud mix but little rain is expected.

Because of our air source streaming all the way from the Mediterranean, temperatures will be more suited to late September rather than late October across Ireland, UK as well as France, Low Countries even extending into Germany.

Expect 3pm temperatures to be in the 13-16C range from Glasgow down to London, a touch cooler north of the Central Lowlands of Scotland and Northern Ireland at 10-13C but where sunshine lingers, don’t be surpassed to see a 19 or even 20C show up from Paris up to London east into the Low Countries.

Rainfall will be very limited through Halloween not just over the UK but across most of the continental mainland with just a slight shower risk mid-afternoon onwards as a powerful and dominant high centred over central/east Europe builds west influencing UK airspace through the second half of the day. Remember it’s a breezy and damp start.

Into the evening when kids, maybe parents too head out trick or treating, it should be a largely fine, dry and comfortable night outdoors with possible mist and fog forming but no frost! 7pm temperatures should generally be in the 8-14C range.

As for the rest of Europe, it’s largely fine, dry and chilly (further east you are) with patchy mist, fog forming anywhere from central France up through Belgium, Netherlands and Denmark as well as east through Germany, Poland and Russia but considerably colder into Russia, Ukraine and Bulgaria.

Only real area of concern will be southern Italy, Greece up into the Balkans where winds will be fresh with outbreaks of rain.

GFS surface shows morning rain clearing the UK and just look at how quite it is across Europe. Chilly over eastern parts.
