Scotland
After a fairly wet afternoon across Central and Southern areas, the rain shifts north for a time this evening but as the front hooks round, another band of rain will sweep into the West through the overnight. Lows tonight dip to between 5-7C.
England
It’s been a cool, showery and blustery sort of day across much of England but through tonight, those showers should ease across the Midlands but may continue to get fed in on the breeze across the South while another band of rain works into Cumbria and Lancashire. Lows tonight range from a cool 5 to 8C.
Through your Saturday and it’s looking like a damp affair across the North thanks to a frontal system but the organised rains break up through the day and ALL areas will see showers blown in on a westerly breeze through the day. Don’t right the day off completely as there will be sunny intervals in between those showers and the thicker cloud in the north should break up some through the afternoon. High will be dissapointing for the 11th of May at just 10-14C. Saturday night will see skies clear and that means falling temperatures with lows of 3-7C.
Sunday will see another front push in from the west with the heaviest rain in the North, drier, brighter but showery in the Midlands and South. Highs of 10-14C.
Wales
It’s been a cool, breezy and showery day across Wales and tonight will continue with the same theme. Look out for somewhat drier conditions in the North to start the night while showers will continue to sweep across the South so watch out for those if your heading into Swansea or Cardiff tonight. Later in the night a front will arrive from ther Irish Sea so northern areas turn wetter again. Lows dip to between 5-7C tonight.
Saturday is looking wet through much of the morning but the front clears, fragmenting as it does so and showers will follow in it’s wake. Bright or sunny spells should develop along with those blustery showers. Look for highs of 10-14C.
Saturday night will start off dry but more rain arrives from the west and that heralds a wet start to Sunday but look for clearing into the afternoon. Highs of 10-14C.
Northern Ireland
After a wet start turns showery through this afternoon, i’m affraid the cool, showery theme continues into tonight, in fact another band of fairly organised rain will sweep in and cross the country overnight. Lows range from 4-7C.
Saturday starts with a drying theme after another night of moderate to heavy and persistent rain. The morning and afternoon turns showery with a brisk NW breeze, that breeze coming from the NW will keep temperatures down at just 9-13C.
Saturday night into Sunday shall be dry for a time before yet another band of rain sweeps in during Sunday morning before turning showery through the afternoon. Highs of 10-14C.
Ireland
A band of rain will sweep across the Republic overnight before turning showery with a brisk WNW wind. Lows dip no lower than 5-7C.
Saturday will be a classic ‘April-like’ day with sunshine and heavy, possibly thundery showers, feeling cool in the stiff breeze but get out of the breeze and find some sunshine and it feels not too bad. Highs tomorrow should range between 10-15C.
Saturday night will see brief respite before yet another band of heavy rain and strong winds advance in from the Atlantic, crossing the country Saturday night into Sunday. Lows dip to 4-7C.
Sunday, like today and tomorrow should see sunny spells along with heavy, blustery showers. Highs are once again poor for the time of year at between 10-15C.
