RAIN/SNOW: FOG
Another day dominated by dense fog. An overnight which, though foggy, became colder by the later part of the overnight and temperatures cooled more than previous nights likely due to a lifting to less dense fog which allowed heat to escape and a low to fall to 27 degrees by 10.14am, a later point to reach a low than normal, this set the base to our first subfreezing day and with that base, despite fog, it’s cooled off considerably by dinnertime than 24 hours ago and currently we are sitting at 26 degrees and may fall off to 25 by morning, if the fog lifts like last night we may take a run at our lowest reading of the season so far of 23 degrees. Due to the amount of moisture from the fog, ice is becoming a problem on all outdoor surfaces and objects, expecially dangerous is the roads. Remembering much of the country has no fog and remain under clear, starry skies and frost has remained on the ground of sheltered locations, a severe frost and cold night is in store, some areas may fall into the teens by sunrise… Tomorrow is likely to be cloudier in the broader scale and therefore a milder day may be in store, we however may remain foggy and therefore we here in the lowlands may struggle once again to hit freezing or only slightly above. Even we clear and become cloudy, we may take a run at 40…
