>One for the Ages? Converging Storms of Tropical and Non-Tropical core to potentially create an historic event

>There are .. key elements that if they come together like forecasted could bring an historic event not seen in many a year along the US East Coast from the Carolinas to New England..

1) The storm system that was Ida is now spinning just off the Georgia coast and deepening over 80-85 degree waters.

2) Another secondary system, a hybrid is east of Ida and could connect in the next day 24-28 hours.

3) A large high pressure system to the north of these two systems is going to help ajoin these twin low’s of both tropical and non-tropical internal features and push them towards the east coast but the upper flow will take them both north, northeast..

Because of the energy potential from these two systems combined with the high to the north, a 1,000 mile fetch of waves and wind energy will funnel straight into the coast of North Carolina and Virginia which is likely to see the brunt of these weather situation. I have ran out of time and shall post more either before work or when I return home from work with greater detail on the meteorology behind this potentially dangerous situation.

Right now, check out AccuWeather and particularly Joe Bastardi’s excellent video coverage on this storm and he explains the dynamics and complexities associated with this situation.

Thanks for reading.
