-29 degrees at Eureka and -14 at Repulse Bay in north-central Canada compared to the warmth of 75 degrees at Rapid City, South Dakota, 73 at Denver, Colorado, is the thermal contrast driving a powerhouse jet stream and associated pile-driving storm centers that are controling the depth of troughs and heights of ridges across the Northern Hemisphere. These vast wheels of weather are forcing the extremes from the equator and pole to come together.

IMPRESSIVE TEMPERATURE CONTRASTS IN SASKATCHEWAN AND MANITOBA
In west-central Manitoba has a significant contrast from northern portions of Manitoba. West-central Manitoba’s The Pas sits at a warm 55 whilst Thompson in north-central is 30. IN southwest, Swan River is an amazing 62 degrees whilst northwest Lynn Lake is a shivery 26, Churchill in northeast is 24…
Saskatchewan is also under both cold and unseasonable warmth with southeast.. Weyburn sitting a warm 68, whilst northcentral.. Key Lake is a cold 26.. Yes these places may be hundreds of miles apart but for early November and 60s to near 70 in these southern Canada provinces in very impressive..
VERY WARM, VERY COLD WITH THE DRIVE TRAIN OF STORMS KEY THE THE PATTERN SECRET..
1) GULF OF ALASKA LOW DRIVES WARMTH ACROSS UNITED STATES
The Monster swirl of cloud spinning over the Gulf of Alaska is said to have a central pressure of 947MB!! According to The Weather Channel’s Tim Ballisty, if this storm was to be that strong and impacting the Pacific Northwest directly, this would likely to have been one of the more historic and worst storms to ever hit the Pacific Northwest. Prolific coastal flooding, waves that according to AccuWeather’s Jesse Ferrell’s blog reported 42 foot waves and wind damage that would effect thousands.
2) ATLANTIC LOW PUMPING OCEANIC WARMTH OVER EUROPE AND PULLS DOWN THE COLD OVER THE ASIAN SUB-ARCTIC?: Novy Urengoy, Russia currently sitting at 22 below zero F.
During about 3-4 days last week, The vast land mass of Asia’s interior recieved a huge covering of snow and this likely has helped set the stage to the current bitter cold that’s settled over much of Russia, Mongolia and China where current temps sit at 14 degrees at Ulan Bator, Mongolia and 22 below at Novey Urengoy in Siberia and 4 below in Irkutsk. As the cold builds south from the pole and warmth builds over the Plains thanks to the massive storm center off British Columbia, these major storm centers are the drive train to air masses around the world.. Here in the UK we are under the gun of a very stormy and unsettled pattern with a major trough over the North Atlantic that is pushing our way with the overall flow aloft.. In between cloudiness associated with the persistent train of Atlantic lows, we now have long enough nightime darkness where we are getting crisp, frosty mornings but more often than not, another band of rain is always lurking on the western and southwestern horizon..
After the next day or so of highs that could take a run at 80 in western South Dakota today may ease as the storm over the Gulf of Alaska pushes onshore, bringing cooler weather back across the continental USA and a fresh push of polar-maritime air gets pulled in, in the wake of this strong low.. As the next Atlantic low crosses Britain, we too may see chillier air. The entire global atmosphere is moving in harmony and it’s very much a classic November atmosphere which is progressive..
VERY WARM: Much of Europe is presently enjoying mild maritime weather where currently it is 51 in London and in the upper 40s to low 50s in Denmark and portions of southern Norway and Sweden..
For the USA the heat is on from the Rockies across the Plains where it’s currently 75 degrees at Miles City, Montana, 73 degrees at both Minot and Dickinson, North Dakota, 80 degrees in Philip, South Dakota

>I'm glad to see the heatwave has blasted away the cold that was making Americans and Canadians shiver. Cold summer will be balanced out by a heatwave this winter. Thats the benefit of Americans pumping out more CO2 than anyone else in the world. Are you still so against CO2 emissions being cut sir Markus? I think it could only be a good thing, it might get walkways built in America so that these great people can get out of their 8L turbo 4x4s automobiles and get walking to their destinations. J-walking would become legal, and drivers would hopefully reduce speed and take a more cautious approach to driving.
