NOTICE THAT IT TAKES BILL’S REMNANTS 3 DAYS TO GET ACROSS THE NORTH ATLANTIC, YET 10 OR MORE DAYS TO GO FROM AFRICA TO THE LEEWARDS!! SHOWS YOU HOW FAST THOSE WINDS ALOFT RACE ACROSS THE ATLANTIC DOESN’T IT..
Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick are experiencing the effects of Bill as it’s huge circulation of wind and rain cover Atlantic Canada. Damaging winds and flooding rains as well as violent and pounding surge will make for a miserable afternoon and night for this region. Bill’s corroded eye is moving parrell to the eastern or souther Nova Scotia coast at a fast paced 35 mph. Faster because it is now getting a helping hand by the baroclinic environment that rules the atmosphere at these latitudes and forward speed of Bill may speed further as it crosses Newfoundland tonight as it transitions to extra tropical and heads northeast across the frigid North Atlantic waters and develops frontal features as it’s way towards the Ireland coast. If Bill does enter my part of the world by crossing Ireland and into Scotland, this system will have no difference in the weather it delivers than any other low pressure than heads in from our western horizons. After all tonight, it’s cold, breezy and intermittant heavy showers come and go, so, Bill, What’s new? Only difference will be that I will know when the next batch of showers, breezy conditions came in from the Atlantic will know that it was once a system that formed over the tropical rainforest of central Africa, moved across the Atlantic, became a depression, tropical storm, category 4 hurricane, looped the Atlantic, battered the coast from Florida to Newfoundland with huge waves before recrossing the Atlantic and into us as your everyday Atlantic low…
Well I think I’ve spoken enough for one day. I hope to have you updates on what Bill did to Nova Scotia and the rest of Atlantic Canada including Newfoundland tomorrow when I get home from work.
