The true spring-like warmth of late last week was dramatically erased from Midwest to Northeast this past weekend as a powerhouse cold front with vort max packing gale-force gusts swept through Sat into Sun. This forced the rapid development of low pressure on exiting New England.

The result was widespread wind gusts of 30-60 mph which tore down trees and power lines from Maine to Virginia as well as bring a swath of snow from Appalachians to New England.
