The CFSv2 appears to be on the right track for September given the pattern so far and what’s ahead.

It’s been warm on the East Coast so far this month and probably the warmest of the year so far (as forecast).

However, here comes the major cool shot into the Rockies and Plains next week (CFSv2 week 2) which the long range CFSv2 sees.

Back to now…

Today made for the 2nd straight day of 90 in Boston but storms tonight are followed by cooler air which means still no heatwave far this summer for Boston.

Another hot, humid day for New York City but storms too break the current heat spell.

It looks like the CFSv2 will be right on September for a colder than normal central but warmer than normal east coast.

It remains on the wet side over the eastern two thirds.
