WED 13 NOV: UK & IRELAND REGIONAL FORECAST

Written by on November 13, 2013 in United Kingdom & Ireland with 0 Comments

Scotland

After a decent day for much of the country, albeit windy in the North and West, conditions have now deteriorated this evening with a band of rain now spreading east across the country. This should push through fairly quickly and what will follow will be a raft of heavy, blustery showers driven in by a strong to gale-force NW wind. Lows tonight 3-6C.

With the exception of the strong and cold wind, it’s not too bad of a day with bright or even sunny skies and it will be largely dry albeit a few showers will be here and there. Highs 6-8C, feeling colder in the wind.

More rain pushes in from the west Friday.

England

A front will sweep southeast this evening and overnight bringing a band of rain and strengthening WNW winds. It feel raw if your out and about with lows tonight of 4-6C and although the air temp will be warmer than last night, the cold NW wind will make it feel colder.

Thursday should start off largely dry with the rain band cleared to the SE. Winds will be noticeable though, blowing cold and strong out of the NW. Expect a few blustery showers, highs 7-10C, much colder feeling in the wind.

Friday is similar to tomorrow, largely dry with bright or sunny spells but one key difference will be the lighter wind.

Wales

It was the coldest start yet across Wales and after a decent first half to the day, it’s a very different end with a spell of wind and rain pushing through with a cold front. Once the front exits to the south and east early in the overnight, heavy, blustery showers follow through the night. Feeling cold in the gale-force WNW winds, 5-7C.

Thursday is very much a sunshine and showers day with a strong and cold NW wind. Highs 6-9C.

Drier, less windy come Friday.

Northern Ireland

It’s been a fairly wet and increasingly windy end to the day across Northern Ireland but you’ll notice that stiff and rather cold feeling NW wind blowing too. Showers will continue rattling through overnight tonight and thanks to the wind, temperatures hold above freezing but it will ‘feel’ cold. Lows 3-6C.

Thursday starts much like today will end, showery, very blustery, feeling cold in the strong, perhaps gale-force NW wind. Highs 6-8C.

Less windy with the potential for some rain in the North, drier in the South Friday.

Ireland

It’s a wet and windy evening across the Republic and while the rain pushes east this evening, heavy showers and a strengthening WNW wind will follow. Lows tonight less cold than last night thanks to the wind but it may feel colder. Lows 3-7C.

Thursday is looking largely dry but windy and cold feeling with highs of 7-11C.

Friday looks to stay dry with far less wind.
