Scotland

Fine, dry and bright/sunny afternoon across much of Scotland with showers lingering in the North and West. Tonight will continues to see those showers in the same areas but elsewhere and for most, it turns clear and chilly with lows between 0C in rural parts to 4 or 5C in most towns and cities, nearer 2 or 3C in in Inverness and Aberdeen.

Tuesday will see a fresh to strong west wind which will rattle hefty showers into Western parts including Greater Glasgow, always drier, brighter and somewhat less breezy the further east you are. A good deal cooler tomorrow with highs uniformly 5-9C, colder still in the breeze.

It turns wet and very windy Wednesday with gales right across the country, severe gales with storm-force gusts in the Northwest, Western and Northern Isles.

England

It’s been a rather disappointing start to the new week with a lot of cloud around with outbreaks of light and patchy rain for many. Through this evening and overnight it doesn’t get much better as more rain spreads across the country, clearing the North and eventually the Midlands by dawn but all in all it’s damp and dreary with perhaps patches of fog around. Lows tonight 7-13C.

Tuesday looks considerably better with more in the way of sunshine but the rain bearing front will be slow to clear the Southeast coast, eventually it’s dry and bright for all through the afternoon, highs near average at 9-13C.

With the exception of some blustery showers over Cumbria and Lancashire, Wednesday looks like another decent day.

Wales

It’s been a poor start to the work week across Wales with patchy rain lingering through the day, accompanied by a brisk breeze but milder than of late. Tonight will see that rain pep up, becoming heavy for a time but this band clears overnight. Temperatures hold up well overnight at 7-11C.

A much brighter, sunnier but also cooler day to come across the country. Highs 8-11C. Wednesday also looks largely fine and dry but cool, turning wet and windy later in the day.

Northern Ireland

It’s been a decent start to a mid November week with plenty of dry and bright weather along with mild temperatures of 12-14C. Tonight turns cool beneath clear skies for most but showers linger in the West. Lows range between 1 in rural spots to 4C in Belfast and Newry.

Tuesday is another decent day and although dry for most, it will feel cooler, especially in the breeze. Highs 8-11C.

Wednesday turns wet and rather windy with the possibility of gales across the country.

Ireland

Following a damp and rather cloudy day but very mild at 13-15C, the rain band clears the East Coast this evening, turning clear and chilly overnight. Lows 2 or 3C in the Midlands with patchy frost for some, 4 to 6C in most major towns and cities.

Tuesday looks drier and brighter but noticeably cooler with highs of just 8-12C, feeling cooler still in the brisk west breeze.

Wednesday too should see a mostly dry and bright day but it turns wet and very windy in the North and West later in the afternoon.
