>I happened to look at the Snowshoe resort in West Virginia and how they were doing for snow totals this winter season. Amazingly, they have picked up a rather impressive 184 inches…

My friend Ken from North Jersey said snow was piled 3 feet deep in his neighbourhood whilst snow piles built up by front end loaders where as high as 30 feet! WOW..

Here is some interesting graphics I thought I would post for you.

The Snow Belt This Month
Updated: Wednesday, February 17, 2010 2:52 PM
The mid-Atlantic region has turned into a snow belt this month. I would venture to say that there has been more snow in Washington, D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia this month than where the Winter Olympics are being held.
Up north on the other hand, there has been a snow drought. In Buffalo, N.Y., there has been barely over 4 inches of snow this month, and in Burlington, Vt., there has been less than 3 inches. Now read this. In Caribou, Maine, one of the snowiest low elevations in the East, February snowfall is under 5 inches.
A blocking pattern has kept storms on a southern route through the eastern part of the United States, thus there has been excessive snowfall in the mid-Atlantic region but hardly anything in the north.
