The towering line of cumululonimbus on the western horizon of Chicago will likely stop Chicago from getting into the mid-90s like first thought. These storms that will cause damage, hail, flooding rains or at least torrential rains is likely either halting heating over Chicago since high level clouds roll in or they will be throwing out cool air in the form out outflow which will cut out the continued afternoon heating and this will keep the summers peak at 94 set in June. Will Chicago then experience a three straight summer peak at 94 degrees?

Tomorrow, if time prevails, I shall talk a little about why different high pressure systems, their strength and location alter surface temperatures across the populated I-95 corridor between DC and Boston…

Thanks for reading and good night.

    >I thought that you'd be interested to know that the temperature peaked out at 72 F in Lochgelly. thats not far off the dizzy maximum of 82.4 F that could be expected in either June, July or August. Yes, it's hot in America, but it can be hot here too. soon we will be heading into the chilly season of autumn where dizzy heights of below 50 F are frequent. I'd recommend to keep a water pack on your person in these extreme heatwaves. remember your factor 50 too.
