>The Cool Late Spring/Early Summer wasn’t just my imagination

>Call it solar sunspot cycles or even global warming, I call it a pattern that has established it’sself across North America thanks to a cold Pacific, La Nina and now return of a “weak” El Nino. but Another early summer start has been tainted by cool, wet even snowy weather after a cold May of 2008.

Back in March I recall temps of -31 in northern Minnesota (Longville) as the coldest for March. 27 in June at International Falls, Minn was the coldest so late in the season. snow falling on June 1st in the high elevations of New York as well as an 18 degree low and below zero wind chills on top of Mt Washington, NH… Then lets go into this summer season and look at the stats…

June in New York (Central Park) averaged 67.5 degrees, 3.7 below normal and the COLDEST AVERAGE since 1958! Remember the last time it hit 85 was May, ouch! It’s now July 15 and the last time NYC has gone that far without 90 was all the way back to 1903.. SIGNIFICANT..

Phoenix went through 15 straight days in June below 100 degrees for the first time since 1913.

Yucca Valley, CA (high desert) was 8.5 degrees below normal. Downtown Los Angeles was 5 below normal.

Boston, MA was 4.7 below normal and remarkably the second coldest average June temp since 1872! According to Dr Joe D’Aleo of www.icecap.us trees across New England began showing colors that wouldn’t appear till September!

If we look south of the equator which may I add can have mirror effects from what goes on down there to what may potentially reflect in the upcoming winter across North America and the Northern Hemisphere, Southern Brazil has one of it’s coldest June’s in decades (Northeast winter reflection?) New Zealand has had unusual cold and snow for yet another year…

According to a June press release, New Zealand had one of it’s coldest May’s on record.

In South Africa two vagrants froze to death in the Eastern Cape…

Now, looking at July. Chicago, IL hit a high of only 65 degrees on Jul 8, coldest July 8 since 1891… Frost covered ground and car windshields in Melbourne, New South Wales.

All this ties into a cold Northern Plains, Midwest and Northeast. But again, like I’ve stated earlier, this balances out with extreme heat in other areas but the key is, the cooling is GREATER than the warming I believe.

Thanks for reading.
