The past three Halloween’s have turned out very mild for the UK with 2016 seeing the warmest on record for Wales with a ridiculous high of 22C. As for Guy Fawkes night, last year was mild, wet and windy but this year shall be opposite and more typical of what you’d expect.
Rather than the SW winds of Halloween, you’ll want to dig out of woollies for this bonfire weekend as NE winds blowing off an increasingly bitter Scandinavia dominate.
In sheltered inland parts, you may want to have the scraper handy for returning to your car after the bonfire!

FRIDAY NIGHT
Heading out to a local bonfire or fireworks display tonight, expect a stiff ENE breeze with showers, particularly down the North Sea Coast. Air temperature will range 3-6C UK-wide but factor in a breeze of 10-15 mph it shall feel closer to freezing. Showers will fall as snow on the hills of Scotland and Northern England.
