It was a rough day yesterday throughout the Mississippi Valley with flooding rains and severe weather, all thanks to the big fall storm system with warm and cold, dry and moist air coming together.
Here was the SPC storm reports from yesterday. Note the 14 tornadoes.

Today’s severe weather risk slides east today.

The East Coast can expect some decent rainfall through the next 48 to 72 hours as the potent cold front sweeps through. Expect local flooding.

As for the tropics… we now have MAJOR Hurricane Gonzalo which poses a significant threat to Bermuda and then possibly Newfoundland.

Latest NHC track. Notice that Bermuda is bang slap in the middle of that cone.

ECMWF takes Gonzalo pretty much directly over Bermuda, possibly as a Cat 3, maybe 4 storm.

Then it set’s it’s sights on Newfoundland.

Apologies for the VERY brief post. See video for more. I shall have a full update once again Thursday!
