Christobal Could Hit Iceland This Weekend Packing Damaging Wind & Waves

Since the videos are FINALLY back up and running, I’m not going to do much of a write-up. I’m currently in Bathgate and a little tied for time.

While I like to link the write-ups with videos, in today’s written post I want to briefly show you some of the model solutions on the upcoming weekend which look interesting.

As your probably aware, if you follow US/tropical weather as well as the UK/Europe, we’re now talking Hurricane Christobal. This system, like every other which enter’s colder high latitude waters will weaken and make that transition to extra tropical.

Christobal will be no exception but what’s interesting is that the models really go to town with the deepening of this system once cold core.

This system would not only bring potentially storm or even hurricane force winds to Iceland’s coastline as well as battering waves and heavy rain but may send a surge of heat up into the UK ahead of it’s frontal boundary!

Here’s the latest ECMWF surface charts.
