Scotland

It’s been a lovely afternoon across much of the country and those sunny skies this evening will give way to a cool night beneath the stars. However cloud and eventually rain will spread in off the Atlantic, making for a damp start to Thursday. Always drier, brighter in the East where it starts off chilly. Lows in the West, dip early but rise overnight, 7-11C, further East 4-8C.

Thursday will very much be a West to East split with cloud and outbreaks of rain across the West while it’s a mainly dry, even bright day in the East but cloud will increase through the afternoon, perhaps making for a damp end to Thursday.

Damp start on Friday but we should see west to east clearing through the afternoon into the evening.

England

A dry, warm day with highs of 18-20, locally 21C this afternoon will make way for a cool night to come with widespread clear skies. Expect lows down to 3 or 4C in some sheltered rural spots, widely 7C in the countryside, 10-12C in towns and cities.

Rain will spread into Northern and Western areas late in the night into Thursday morning, staying dry and starting off bright to the east of the Pennines and across the South. Through the day, the damp, cloudy weather will try to progress east and south and by later into the evening, rain may edge close to London.

On Friday, it starts damp in the West, dry in the East but during the afternoon to turns drier in the West, wetter in the East, highs of 16-19C.

As for Glastonbury, it’s looking showery with a small chance of more persistent rain for a time later tomorrow but into Friday and the weekend, conditions are looking good with partial sunshine, plenty of dry weather and mild temperatures of 18-20C.

Wales

After a lovely, dry and bright Wednesday, it turns cloudy across Wales overnight with lows dipping no lower than 8-10C. Into Thursday and rain will eventually spread from SE’wards across the country bringing a cooler and indeed much gloomier day. Highs no better than 15-16C.

The first half of Friday looks damp, brightening up through the afternoon. Highs 15-18C.

Northern Ireland

A beautiful day across Ulster makes way to a cloudy and eventually wet night to come as a front pushes in off the Atlantic. With the cloud and rain, lows dip no lower than 8-11C.

Through Thursday and rain eventually clears east but it looks to remain fairly cloudy through much of the morning and afternoon with perhaps some late sunshine. Highs of 14-16C.

Friday looks to start damp, if not cloudy but it should brighten through the afternoon. Highs 15-18C.

Ireland

It’s been a fine, dry and warm day with highs of 17-19C and this will make way for a largely cloudy night to come thanks to the presence of a passing frontal system to the north. Much of the rain associated with the front will stay to the North but rain may clip the far North overnight while much of the rest of Ireland stays dry. Lows of 9-11C.

Through Thursday and it’s looking cloudy to start but sunny spells should develop through the late morning into the afternoon with little in the way of rain. Highs of 15-18C.

Friday is looking fairly decent with a mix of sun and cloud, highs of 15-18C.
