There’s a north-south split through the remainder of the week and into the weekend with high pressure aiding to supply largely fine, dry and settled weather to southern and central areas while frontal system spread rain, wind and cooler temps across Northern Ireland and Scotland. The weather is looking good for Glastonbury this year with just showers tomorrow, becoming drier and brighter on Friday and through the weekend.
Expect the unsettled weather to become persistent in the North this weekend but it should remain more settled in the South.

As for next week, the pattern is classic for the time of year with more fronts spreading across particularly the North with drier, brighter and warmer weather further south.
The ECMWF shows hints of warmer and more settled weather for all areas towards mid and late next week as you can see from the below charts.

The pattern remains fluid but this does appear to be the most sustained positive NAO for quite sometime, even if the pattern is not a sustained settled and warm one. This is a decent pattern by UK standards for late June and it certainly looks as though next week should present a more widespread and UK-wide spell of warm, settled weather.
