Scotland

This week is looking rather different compared to last week with much more settled, drier weather with more sunshine and warmer temperatures. Through this evening it’s quiet pretty much everywhere with temperatures staying mild, only dropping to around 12 or 13C in towns and cities, a touch cooler in rural areas. Patchy mist and fog is likely in some sheltered areas.

Tomorrow, like today will be largely fine, dry with a mix of sun and cloud, perhaps more cloud than sun but it’s another mild, muggy day with highs widely into the 17-20C range. Just a slight chance of a shower.

Wednesday should be a similar day to Tuesday with a sun, cloud mix but perhaps a touch cooler with an increase in cloud from the NW.

England

With the exceptions of the South, much of England end’s the first day of the workweek on a fine, bright and mild note and eventually those showers in the South should ease. Lows tonight won’t drop all that far thanks to the more humid air slowing creeping north. Expect towns and cities to only fall to around 12-15C. It will be clear from the Midlands north, cloudier in the South.

Tomorrow is looking like another day of sun and clouds with some showers developing late morning into the afternoon for areas north of London, south of this weak feature is warmer and more humid air which is trying to spread north from the near continent. With sunshine, temperatures should push 25, possibly 26C somewhere around Greater London, elsewhere it should widely range from 18-22C.

Warmer still on Wednesday with an area including Cambridge (north of London) possibly eyeing 30C. Heavy thunderstorms are likely to develop through the afternoon.

Wales

The showers of today should gradually ease as the air slowly cools by sundown but thanks to the higher humidity, the overnight low won’t get much past 10C even in rural areas. Cardiff or Swansea may hold at 13 or 14C.

Tuesday is looking very similar to today with a mix of sun and cloud with showers popping up late morning into the afternoon as the daytime heating begins stirring the atmosphere. Expect showers to be heavy with thunder possible if you can one, but these will be scattered. Highs tomorrow a touch up on today at 18-21, locally 23 or 24C if there’s long sunny spells.

More thundery showers to come Wednesday and warmer still with somewhere perhaps eyeing 25C.

Northern Ireland

It’s been a largely fine, dry and milder start to the new week and this evening is looking very pleasant with sunshine to end the day. A quiet, dry and mild night to come with lows dipping to around 11 or 12C in towns and cities, perhaps 8 or 9C in rural areas.

Tuesday is looking like a repeat of today with few showers and a mix of sun and cloud with highs of 16-19C.

Wednesday remains quiet with perhaps a touch more cloud and less sun, though staying largely dry. Highs of 15-17C.

Ireland

It’s a quiet, dry and mild end to the day and through tonight most places remain dry with clear spells developing here and there. Lows stay mild at 9-13C.

Tuesday will see a mix of sun and cloud with highs of 17-21C with a few showers developing through the late morning into the afternoon thanks to daytime heating.

Wednesday should be much the same. Highs of 16-22C.
