I posted last night about the period between next Wednesday and Saturday as one to watch for a possible return to warm weather. Interestingly, this morning run of the ECMWF suggested a better hint and the very latest run shows the return of summer-like warmth into next weekend.

A large low will bring us a very unsettled spell during mid next week but the model shows this feature dives south Wednesday through Thursday as heat builds over central Europe. The trough dropping south over western Europe will pull Africa heat up into Germany and it’s as the low cuts off from the upper flow as it heads south, a ESE flow is triggered which allows central Europe heat westwards into the UK.
