This upcoming weekend is Mothering Sunday, one you cherish with your children or with your own mother. Wondering what the weather may have in store for perhaps a venture out to your favorite restaurant for a meal, or simply take a pleasant stroll through your local park?
As you know, we are heading back into a somewhat more unsettled weather regime after a few weeks of dry weather. According to the latest computer models, both GFS and ECMWF agree on a low pressure system spinning west of Ireland and the UK, unfortunately, this feature will dominate our weather throughout the second half of this week and the upcoming weekend. Both models show a spoke of moderate, perhaps heavy precipitation sweeping across much of the country and this is likely to be accompanied by a raw easterly wind.

While this forecast is still some 5 days out, things can change but the overall consenses supports cold and unsettled weather with breezy or windy conditions. Expect heavy showers or persistent, cold rain ANYWHERE across both the UK and Ireland through Sunday.
Expect temperatures to range from 3 to 7C but factor in a stiff easterly breeze and it will feel colder.
Prepare for cold and unsettled conditions and always have the waterproofs handy!
