2nd Nor’easter In A Week, 3rd In 10 Days Focuses Heaviest Snow From NYC to W of Boston

The previous Nor’easter just days ago will be long remembered for it’s extreme wind and widespread damage as a result as well as it’s coastal flooding along the Massachusetts shore. It’s said to be a 2nd ‘100 year’ New England flood event within a week.

However, snow was impressive over particularly the Catskill’s of New York from that ‘weather bomb’ within did see a pressure drop of more than 24mb within 24 hours.

Now we’ve got a 2nd within a week and 3rd within 10 days now winding up off the Delmarva. This one will be remembered more for it’s snow rather than wind as the I-95 is under the gun for potentially heaviest accumulation of between 8-12, locally 24 inches just NNW of the burbs.

Though this system starts off as rain in the major cities, the difference with this compared to the previous system last weekend’s is that it’s colder and puts NYC and it’s WNW burbs under the heaviest snow. Boston is a close call. DC will get some but NYC could see over a foot.
