The past few days has been spectacular with cloud free skies and warm sunshine courtesy of high pressure. Today’s not a bad day either with plenty of warm sunshine on offer but an abrupt change arrives through tomorrow.

The high pressure zone responsible for this fine settled spell peaked in strength yesterday hence the lack of clouds even during the warmest part of the day when you’d normally expect cumulus to bubble up.

Though warm with widespread low to mid 20s, the focus of heat wasn’t over the Southeast as you’d expect but has been over NW Highland with Kinlochewe topping the UK warm spot twice in a row with 27C, today is more over the heart of England.
