Written by on November 8, 2013 in United Kingdom & Ireland with 0 Comments

Scotland

The chilly, breezy, showery theme continues into the weekend with tonight no exception. Expect further heavy, blustery showers in the West extending from Argyll, Lochaber east into Glasgow and some will reach Grangemouth, always drier and clearer the further east you go. Tonight will be cold everywhere with lows widely down to 0C in rural areas, nearer 2 or 3C in town and city centres, colder in the East.

Saturday will be much the same as today and the previous days with Western showers, drier, brighter in the East, highs 7-9C.

Colder tomorrow night with widespread frost under clear skies and light winds.

Remembrance Sunday looks dry, bright and sunny through the first half of the day but wind and rain pushes in late in the day. Colder with highs of 5-7C.

Monday will see a band of rain accompanied by stronger SSW winds spread east, turning brighter and considerably milder through the afternoon, highs 12-15C.

England

It’s a showery evening across the Northwest and Western England, drier in the East but head down towards Lincolnshire, East Anglia and the Southeast and it’s a rough evening commute with heavy, persistent rain, driven in by a stiff wind.

Most areas turn dry and mostly clear with the exceptions of a few pesky showers over the Northwest, parts of the Midlands and Southwest. Beneath clear skies it turns chilly with frost possible in rural areas. Lows tonight 3-5C in town and city centres but near 0C outwith.

Saturday will see another band of rain spread west to east across Southern England, drier up into the Midlands and North with just a few showers around. A chilly day with highs of just 6-10C.

Tomorrow night is clear and cold with a widespread frost.

Remembrance Sunday looks fine and dry with plenty of crisp November sunshine to start but it turns wet and windy late in the day. Highs 6-10C.

Monday sees wet, windy weather push east with warmer, brighter weather to follow, highs will be back into 13-16C territory..

Wales

Today’s heavy, blustery showers will continue through tonight but it will also turn chilly with lows down to 2 or 3C outwith the towns and cities.

Saturday will see another band of rain spread across South and Mid Wales but it quickly clears east, making way for a drier, brighter afternoon but do wrap up as it turns cooler behind the front. Highs 7-10C.

Tomorrow night turns cold beneath clear skies and expect a widespread frost, possibly even in the towns and cities.

Decent start to Remembrance Sunday but more wind and rain arrives later in the day introducing a surge of milder air by Monday.

Northern Ireland

The sunshine and blustery shower regime continues tonight into tomorrow but it’s an improving picture as we progress through the weekend across Ulster. Tonight should see those showers ease and beneath clearer skies, expect frost in rural areas but patchy in nature as the breeze should continue. Lows 1-3C.

More of the same tomorrow, sunshine and blustery showers but through the afternoon, those will ease and it turns clear and cold tomorrow night. Highs tomorrow will be cool at 5-9C. Expect a widespread and fairly hard frost by night.

Remembrance Sunday starts off on a pleasant but cold note but through the day a band of wind and rain spreads west to east but it will present a much milder feel and by Monday, once the front passes, expect highs to be back into the 12-14C range.

Ireland

Tonight is cold, blustery and with further showers. Lows tonight 2-5C.

Saturday is an improving story with any shower activity quickly clearing to make way for a largely dry and sunny afternoon but you’ll notice the chill tomorrow night. Clear and cold with a widespread frost.

Remembrance Sunday turns wet and windy but much milder and by Monday, expect rain to clear and highs to push back towards 16C in the South.
