The pattern over the next 7 days will be very much a north to south split with always the more unsettled, cooler conditions over the North while the best of the sunshine and warmth will be focused on the South thanks to a northern extension of a 1036mb Azores ridge. You’ll probably noticed the muggy feel to the air as the flow is warm but also moist out of the SW. Fronts and plentiful moisture will stream across the northern periphery of the high, bringing the spells of unsettled weather to Northern Ireland and Scotland with breaks in between. This is quite a typical early summer pattern.
This weekend’s conditions are looking good for both Glastonbury and Wimbledon.

I suspect an improving setup with better weather even for Northern Ireland and Scotland through the second half of next week. The NAO looks to remain conducive for positive height anomalies across the UK and Ireland.
Here’s the ECMWF upper charts and 850 temps for the same period.
