Scotland
High pressure parked slap bang overhead is bringing near countrywide sunshine and warmth with highs widely reaching 20+C across inland parts this afternoon, shaping up for a perfect evening for bbq’s and outdoor activities. The warmth should linger along with the sunshine well into the evening with lows gradually falling back towards 12C in towns and cities, nearer 7 or 8C in rural areas where mist and fog may once again form.
A weak system nudging closer tomorrow will present a little more instability, breaking the ‘cap’ within the atmosphere and therefore warming sunshine may spark a few sharp showers or isolated thunderstorms through the afternoon. Overall it shall be a mix of sun and clouds with showers around. Cooler at 16-19C.

Expect lows similar to last night at 9-12C in towns and cities by 4-5am, nearer 5-7C in rural areas with a few spots nearer 2-3C with mist, fog and even light frost possible.
Cloud will increase overnight from east to west but through Wednesday, once the sun is up and begins warming the surface, expect this low cloud deck with pockets of mist and fog to burn back. There will be a slightly more noticable breeze blowing out of the NE tomorrow, trimming temperatures back towards 17-20C.
