Scotland
It’s been another blustery day with hefty showers to go with it but the good news is that winds ease, clouds and showers dissipate and that means a colder night for all. Don’t be surprised if you have to scrape your car before heading off to work in the morning. Lows of 2C along the coast, 1C in towns while rural areas dip to freezing or below.
Friday is looking fine, dry and settled and although temps aren’t particularly warm at 10-12C, the light winds and sunshine will make it feel very comfortable.
Another frosty one tomorrow night, Saturday hangs on to the high pressure.
England
After a very windy, showery day across the country, tonight will see an improving picture LATE ON in the North but for the Midlands on south, a frontal system with thicker cloud and rain will slowly sink south. Lows tonight range from 3-4C in the chillier North to 7-8C in the cloudier, damp South.
Saturday will be a much improved picture with bright or sunny skies in the North while it’s a mix of sunshine and showers from Manchester south. Winds will be considerably lighter so highs of 10-14C should feel not too bad where the sun breaks out.
Friday night into Saturday is looking clear, calm and cold with frost outwith towns and cities and as for Saturday, it’s looking fine dry and settled for most.
Wales
It’s been a wild past 24 hours right across Wales with a gust clocked at 84 mph at Aberdaron and even inland Flintshire, a gust of 67 mph was recorded. Winds gradually ease through tonight but it will still be blustery and with a front pushing down from the north, it turns wetter again overnight for a time before clearing by dawn.
A bright and mainly sunny Friday is in store with lighter winds. Highs tomorrow will range between 9 and 14C.
Tomorrow night will be a cold and frosty one as widespread clear skies will allow lows of 1 to -3C.
Saturday is looking like a decent day with similar temps to tomorrow.
Northern Ireland
It’s been a windy day across the country with some hefty showers also. Through tonight winds ease down and eventually those showers will too, this should allow for a decent Friday with calmer conditions, more in the way of sunshine with temps near average, the sun and light winds should make it feel pleasant.
Following a cold and frosty one tomorrow night, Saturday is looking largely fine and dry.
Ireland
The wet and windy conditions experienced across the country today will dissipate through tonight with winds dying down and showers clearing east. Lows tonight will be cooler than of late at 3-5C. This sets the stage for a pleasant, bright or sunny Friday with much lighter winds and with good spells of sunshine, highs should reach the 10-14C range.
A colder night to come Friday into Saturday with frost here and there. Saturday looks decent with sunshine.
