Scotland
The cold theme becomes increasingly more noticable as we progress towards the weekend. Precipitation will turn to snow even to somewhat lower levels tonight across Grampian so prepare for tricky driving up over higher routes. Elsewhere tonight it’s feeling cold in the brisk east wind with off and on showers, some of which will be sleety in places. Lows 2-4C.
Friday continues the theme of brisk and blustery with showers blown in from the east, falling as snow above 1,000ft over Grampian. The best of any brightness will be confined to far western areas. Highs chilly at 3-5C.
Turns colder this weekend, colder still early next week.

England
Tonight will be largely overcast with some light and patchy rain pretty much anywhere. the heaviest of this rain will take aim at the North and South, could turn misty and murky inland. Staying mild in the South with lows no cooler than 7-9C, cooler up through the Midlands and North at 3-5C.
For Friday, expect brisk east winds making it feel raw. Showers are likely to get blown in on that wind too. Across the heart of England it should stay fairly dry with perhaps some brightness peeking through. Staying damp with some heavy bursts of rain across the far South and Southwest of England.
Temperatures Friday, like tonight are once again mild in the South at 9-12C, a lot cooler in the North at 3-5C, 5-8C for Midlands.
Wales
The unsettled theme continues with a fairly widespread damp night to come but turning less wet towards morning. A breeze along with cloud and rain, temperatures hold up at 5-8C tonight. Tomorrow will stay largely cloudy with outbreaks of patchy rain, highs 5-9C.

Northern Ireland
Tonight looks to be a fairly wet night for much of Northern Ireland and factoring in that brisk east wind and it’s going to feel rather nippy out. The damp theme continues into your Friday and expect much of the same as today with a lot of stubborn cloud, a brisk, cold wind with off and on showers, mainly scattered and not particularly heavy. Highs range from 5-7C.

Ireland
The pattern goes from one broken record to the other and that is cloud with outbreaks of rain tonight through tomorrow. Temperatures range from lows tonight of 5-7C, highs on Friday 7-10C and the cloudy, damp theme continues towards Saturday but it does turn much colder by Sunday.
