High pressure will remain the dominant feature through the weekend with a mix of sun and cloud for many, staying dry except for the North with cloud is thickest bringing some light rain or drizzle.

Clear skies tonight for central and eastern areas will lead to a frost with lows between 0 and -2C, perhaps -4C in sheltered parts of the South and East. Some cloud may roll into western areas and so temps may level off near freezing.

Saturday and Sunday both look much the same with highs for many 8-10C perhaps 12C where sunniest.

Looking largely dry into early and mid next week. The sustained spell of dry weather continues!

England

While this weekend will be largely dry and settled, unfortunately cloud will spoil things somewhat. The South looks to remain grey and fairly cold tonight right through the weekend and even into early next week while brighter skies are to be had from Birmingham northwards.

Tonight will see a mostly clear night from Carlisle down through Greater Manchester, perhaps extending as far south as north Birmingham, under these clear skies, lows dip to near freezing, slightly below in rural parts. Where cloudy it stays above freezing by 1-2C and with a fresh northeast wind along the East Coast and South, expect somewhat of a nip in the air.

The best of the sun Saturday will be where skies are clearest tonight.. Carlisle to Manchester, perhaps down to near Birmingham. High in the sun 6-8C, only 5-6C under the cloud and NE breeze in the South.

Cloud persists in the same areas during Sunday.

The dry theme extends well into next week!

Wales

The mix of sun and cloud theme continues for Wales with a chance of a decent overnight frost thanks to clearing skies. For most, lows dip to between 0C in towns and cities, perhaps -2/-3C in rural areas. Both Saturday and Sunday will see that mix of cloud and sun, staying dry with the exception of hilly areas where drizzle may be an issue. Highs 6-8C.

Staying dry and settled into next week.

Northern Ireland

Like across the UK, NI will see a quiet, settled weekend with a mix of sun and cloud but the main theme is the continuation of the dry weather which is allowing the soils to really dry out nicely. No sign of any appreciable rainfall over the next 5 days.

Tonight will be a mostly cloudy affair with lows near 1-2C with a light frost where skies are clearest. Highs both Saturday and Sunday range from 6C under the cloud to 8, perhaps 9C where sunniest.

Ireland

The high remains the dominant feature across Ireland throughout this weekend extending into next week. While cloudy or mostly cloudy skies dominate, temps will be reasonable for early March at 7-9C with light winds and little rain. Some patches of clear sky during the overnight periods will allow patchy frost with lows down to -1C. Where cloudy, 1-3C.
