Last week it was all about Sandy and her devastating impact on the Northeast, impacts which will be felt for years to come, this week it’s a Nor’easter and the first major snowstorm of the year.

Unfortunately this Nor’easter as expected is causing problems as ‘inches’ mount up from DC to Boston and combined with strong winds, power is being knocked out once again. For roughly 600,000 who remain without power following Sandy, these are testing, and cold times.

We have seen an impressive snowfall so far with as much as 10″ being reported in Wallingford, CT, 6″ in parts of Queens, NY, 2.8″ in Central Park, NYC.

Tonight, the snows continue to fall and winds continue to blow with areas seeing 50+mph gusts.

I shall have a full update on Thursday afternoon. You can follow my storm updates on facebook and twitter. Click on buttons at top.
