China shivers at -50C, Shanghai sees heaviest snow in 10 years!

It’s been bitterly cold across much of China with the southward extent of the arctic air reaching unusually far south.

The chill has even made it to Shanghai where they’ve received the first snowfall in 5 years and heaviest in 10 years. Freezing temperatures made it into China’s typically balmy sub tropical region. In the far north temperatures have officially dipped as low as -47, unofficially as low as -50.4C.
