It’s been a cool, blustery past 24 hours in the wake of the previous front but the next front which moves through tonight promises to bring a distinctly wintry flavour to Wednesday across Northern Ireland, Northern England and Scotland. Snow is expected mainly over high ground but don’t be surprised to see some slight accumulation to low levels around Glasgow.

Once the system clears east we’ve a push of arctic air Thursday and Friday before milder air briefly lifts north ahead of the overnight Friday into Saturday front.
