As we progress into the weekend, it’s a decent end to the working week and start to the weekend but we’re keeping an eye on Hurricane Gert. Currently circling the western flank of the Bermuda high as a Cat 2, 105 mph storm.

Gert shall begin to weaken today as he begins to feel the upper westerlies and waters cool eventually transitioning from tropical to baroclinic and merging with a low coming off Canada.

The Met Office maps show Gert transitioning and accelerating towards the UK while we’re beneath a cool NW flow in the wake of the late week system.
